Last call for Windows 7

Reading time 2 minutes

Are your employees still running Windows 7? Then you are not alone, it does up to 40% of the world's computers and 30-40% of the Danish (ComputerWorld 23 January 2019). If you're still on Windows 7, you probably have a really good reason for it, but you can argue from here and to Microsoft's headquarters - Windows 7 is doomed, no matter how happy you are with the operating system.

Normal support stopped in 2015, and extended support expires on January 15, 2020.

Dare you stay on Windows 7

Microsoft wants you over to Windows 10. And they use the price to push you along. Because even though you can still buy security updates for Windows 7 - with Windows 7 Extended Security Updates (ESU) - it is not a realistic solution for many. If you insist on continuing with your old operating system, it will be extremely expensive. Microsoft itself mentions prices of 25-100 dollars per month per. pc and tells that the price doubles every year.

However, it's not just the price you need to worry about! Your data is at risk. Do you dare expose your organization to increased security threats and viruses when you no longer receive software updates and security updates for your operating system?

What about your applications?

Worried about migrating your applications from Windows 7 to Windows 10? At least that's often what we hear from our customers, and fortunately that's something Microsoft is aware of. Therefore, Microsoft has provided a compatibility guarantee for large companies and will free of charge ensure that all the company's apps that work on Windows 7 will also work on Windows 10.
